“Companies across Wales are expanding and reporting growth and this means job creation, which is great news if you are on the look out for that next move or you want to try something new. Firms are recruiting in a variety of sectors from manufacturing to business services and beyond. So, just who are the businesses on the look out for staff and what positions are available?

ADMIRAL

In January this year insurance giant Admiral confirmed it is taking on an additional 250 staff across its offices in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport. The firm, which employs around 5,000 people in Wales, is offering roles with a variety of responsibilities and salary grades with all new starters joining the Group’s employee share scheme, receiving up to £3,000 worth of free shares in the company each year.

Admiral’s Head of People Services, Ceri Assiratti, said: “We’re always looking for talented people to join the group and in the past we’ve been very successful in finding these people in South Wales.

“We’re very confident in finding more good quality people to meet our current recruitment needs.”

Alert Logic

US company Alert Logic, which is headquartered in Houston, is a leading provider of security as a service for the cloud. Its European HQ and Security Operations Centre (SOC) is based in the heart of Cardiff’s Enterprise Zone in the Welsh Government’s Capital Quarter offices, while its UK datacentre is in Newport.

The company expects to create 135 jobs in South Wales over the next three years with the potential for further growth in the future.

The expansion – which is essential to increase capacity to meet the growing demand for its organic spring water – is supported by £250,000 business finance from the Welsh Government .

Over the next three years it will create 25 new jobs bringing the total employed on site to more than 50.
